The drive to Snowdonia is always magnificent no matter what time of year, but seeing the mountain tops covered in snow makes me feel even more in awe! I took the opportunity to take some pictures of Snowdonia.

To think that most people travel for hours just to get there and for us North Walians it is right on our door step! It only took me and my husband an hour from Colwyn Bay.

I don’t know why we don’t do this more often.

Sometimes it’s nice to get away from the coast and venture in to nature! It always reminds me of The Lord of the Rings whenever we pass through here! I half expect a dragon to just pop up over the mountain tops!

We couldn’t resist stopping for a short break just to take in the views, it’s not every day you get to see stuff like this and it truly does make you appreciate nature and the countryside!

I can understand why so many people travel from Cities to come here to get away from it all! I can’t imagine myself living in a city! I’m definitely a country girl 😀

We were actually planning on going to Llyn Padarn near Beddgelert but we decided to take a detour and it was worth it.

However, we did manage to get there in the end! And just look how beautiful it is!! The water wasn’t as calm as I’d hoped but that didn’t mean I wasn’t going to take any pictures 🙂

It was also a great setting for some artistic shots, John is more than used to me asking him to pose for the camera! Although, this time around this was a completely natural shot of him walking across the bridge.

That’s all I’m going to post for now as I have about 50 more images to process from that day, so I might post another blog in a few days with some more images.

If you would like to purchase any of these images for web or print then please email: lisa@indever.co.uk

Don’t forget to share this post if you love Snowdonia as much as I do!!
